Algoma Women Entrepreneurs: Laura Lee Lotto of The Aquarian Acres
Rooted in Healing, Growing in Purpose: Meet Laura Lee Lotto of Alternative Wellness Services & The Aquarian Acres
Two Paths, One Purpose
Laura Lee Lotto wears two very intentional hats: as the owner of Alternative Wellness Services (AWS) and steward of The Aquarian Acres, a 35-acre organic homestead and community gathering space near Algoma, Wisconsin. Through both ventures, she nurtures connection—to nature, self, and community—offering a powerful blend of intuitive wellness services and immersive, soul-nourishing events.
At The Aquarian Acres, Laura Lee and her family cultivate over 15 fruit varieties, tend six seasonal vegetable gardens, and host events that span disc golf tournaments to “farm-to-soul” wellness immersions. Through AWS, she connects with clients around the world through aromatherapy coaching, energy healing, intuitive astrology, and her Ram & Goat Astrology Podcast. She also leads the online Cosmic Mama Collective, offering guided support for soulful living.
From Healing Crisis to Calling
Laura Lee’s journey into holistic wellness began from a place of personal struggle. At just four months postpartum with her third child, she found herself battling severe adrenal fatigue. A friend’s aromatherapy class opened a door—and soon after, she found purpose in helping others heal as she had.
What started as essential-oil coaching evolved into a certified aromatherapy and wellness coaching practice. Over time, her sessions organically deepened to include astrology and intuitive healing. After the pandemic, astrology moved from the background to center stage, and what had once been a side passion became the foundation of a thriving full-time career.
Trusting the Path, Embracing the Pivot
Like many entrepreneurs, Laura Lee faced her share of doubts and detours. Imposter syndrome, six colleges in pursuit of a “safe” career path, and trial-and-error farming ventures (like CSAs and pop-ups) all tested her resilience. But each challenge brought clarity. Eventually, the family found their rhythm with a disc golf course, a holistic event venue, and flourishing gardens.
The biggest lesson? Trust intuition. Laura Lee learned that her energy, intensity, and authenticity were not only valid—they were essential. Embracing herself as the cornerstone of her business has led to powerful transformations, both for her clients and her family.
Raising a Business & a Family
Raising five children while building a business from the ground up has been both a test and a triumph. Laura Lee’s children have watched her push through uncertainty, embrace breakthroughs, and pour love into something meaningful. Her journey is now part of their legacy.

Laura Lee speaks highly of the local entrepreneurial community—especially the women—who’ve welcomed her with open arms and hearts. Words of Wisdom for Aspiring Women Entrepreneurs
“Go for it—your voice and vision are exactly what the world needs.” That’s Laura Lee’s message to any young woman considering starting a business. She encourages future founders to choose a path that lights them up from the inside and to embrace the learning process.
You don’t have to know everything. You just have to start and surround yourself with those who believe in you. Most importantly, she says, “Your authenticity is your greatest asset.”
