New Member Intro: The Grain Loft

 In Chamber, Member News

If you traveled on State Hwy 42 south of Algoma during the month of November 2018, you may have noticed some activity, or even the lights on in the evening hours at the former site of The Flying Pig.  That is because the new owners, David and Stacey Vecellio have been busy preparing Northeast Wisconsin’s newest performance and event venue, The Grain Loft!

Located at N6975 Hwy 42, the property has been vacant since 2016.  There has always been the hope that new owners would be found and keep one of the area’s favorite spaces up and running.  Well, that day is here!  While we wait for all the details about services, hours, and the grand opening, David and Stacey answered our  Five Questions For New Chamber members:

1. How long have you been in the Algoma area?

We are brand new to this beautiful little town along the coast of Lake Michigan. We also have a house and business in Oconomowoc and plan on dividing our time between the two locations.

2. What do you find most interesting about your business or industry?

We love being able to meet all different kinds of people. No two weddings should ever be the same. Couples come to us with a vision and we take the time to really listen to what they would like their special day to be. We are able to help them create a wedding that fits with their personalities.

3. What is one thing you want people to know when they think of your business?

Even though we are an event venue, we are still a small family run business and our guests often mention how they love working with us. They can see that we put our heart and soul in everything we do and especially when working with our couples. Taking care of people has always been our true passion. We take the time with each couple and treat them as if we are working with our own family.

4. What is your favorite thing about Algoma area community?

We love the people and the small town feel. We both grew up in smaller towns and are happy to be back to that community feel where people love helping each other. Also, the beautiful coast of Lake Michigan is certainly a plus.

5. What was your primary motivation for becoming a member of the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce?

We joined the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce so that we could meet and network with people within the community as well as other small businesses such as ourselves.
