Algoma Library Friends (ALF) is an all volunteer, non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the Algoma Public Library by raising funds for non-budgeted items and lending a helping hand when needed.
Donations to the library include a staff laptop, summer reading program supplies, a projector, display racks, a printer, crafting supplies, and an iPad Krayon Kiosk. Recent donations include a children’s kitchen complete with “food” and cooking utensils. The Algoma Library Friends also funds an annual scholarship for advanced education in library science.
ALF operates The Book Corner, a store that sells gently used books, movies, games, and puzzles with proceeds going toward library programming and supplies.
