Mental Health Awareness Month 2018

The Live Algoma Coalition invites you to join in a community effort to promote mental wellness and support activities that encourage positive emotional well-being.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and businesses, organizations, and individuals are invited to join the efforts in spreading the word that everyone should care about mental health. There will be a calendar of events shared throughout the community to highlight activities and offerings.

We all know someone who has been impacted by mental health concerns. Promoting emotional well-being is an effective way to reduce the stigma of mental health conditions.

Businesses and organizations are encouraged to join the effort by promoting the products or services lines that help build emotional well-being. Some items might include (but not limited to): foods that support a good mood, exercise/fitness promotions to improve mental wellbeing, relaxation products or therapeutic services, opportunities for social and spiritual connection, or financial wellness to reduce stress.

Please click on this link for some ideas about how you can participate and to register your company or organization in the effort.

This community-wide effort is sponsored by Live Algoma, UW Extension, Bellin Health, United Funds of Kewaunee County, Shopko Foundation.
