Kewaunee County Economic Development Corporation (KCEDC) has announced it is partnering with a highly qualified consultant to advance Project HOMESTEAD, a strategic initiative aimed at addressing the critical housing needs in Kewaunee County.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in developing effective solutions for workforce and entry-level housing.

Key Areas of Analysis: Over the coming months,  a comprehensive analysis will be conducted that will provide valuable insights, including:

  1. Market Analysis: A thorough examination of the current housing market to identify trends, gaps, and development opportunities.
  2. Housing Type Recommendations: Specific recommendations on the types of housing needed to meet the diverse needs of our workforce.
  3. Revenue Projections: Financial forecasts based on potential housing developments to understand the economic impact on our community.
  4. Site Selection: Evaluation and ranking of potential development sites to determine the most viable locations for new housing projects.
  5. Financial Feasibility Study: An in-depth look at the financial aspects of proposed developments to ensure long-term sustainability.
  6. Regulatory Review: An assessment of existing regulations and zoning laws to identify any potential barriers to development.
  7. Community Impact Assessment: An evaluation of how proposed housing projects will affect the local community and economy.
  8. Partnership Identification: Identification of key partnerships and resources that can support the successful implementation of Project HOMESTEAD.
