City of Algoma Public Safety Building Referendum Meetings

The City of Algoma will have a referendum question on the April 5, 2022 election ballot. The question is in regards to the proposed new Public Safety Building (Fire, EMS, and Police Station).

Estimated Cost: $5.7 million – which will mean an increase of $1.62 per thousand assessed value. ($100,000 home will see a tax increase of $162)

There will be two informational meetings held at the Algoma Elementary School Auditorium at 6:00 pm on Wednesday February 23, 2022, and Wednesday March 16, 2022.

The City looks forward to your questions and input and hopes to see you at the informational meetings. There will be a mailer sent out to all residents in the next few days with more information as well.
