    Main Grounds Hours:
    Friday, August 9, 2024, 3 PM – Midnight
    Saturday, August 10, 2024, 11 AM*- Midnight
    Sunday, August 11, 2024 11 AM – 9 PM

    Main Grounds Fees
    Entry to the Main Grounds requires a wristband for ages 12 and up.

    Bring Your Memories Home! Shanty Days 2024 Presale Wristands are on sale NOW through 3 PM August 9, 2024!

    Presale bands are $8 each.

    Shanty Days 2024 presale wristbands are available at:
    – Algoma Visitor Center 1226 Lake St. Hours: Mon-Sat 10 AM – 4 PM, Sun 10 AM – 1 PM
    – Bank of Luxemburg 510 2nd St. Algoma, WI
    – Nicolet Bank 205 Clark St. Algoma, WI

    Wristbands will also be available at any entry gate to the Main Grounds beginning at 3 PM, Friday, August 9, 2024
    Purchased at the Gate: $10
    Valid for the entire weekend.
    Sunday Only: $5
    Payments accepted: Cash only at the gate.

    No band is required to attend the Arts & Crafts and Street Fair, volleyball tournament, parade, 5K, or fishing tournament.

    *No main grounds entrance fee on Saturday, 11 AM-3 PM. Stay as long as you want on the grounds but if you leave and wish to re-enter, a wristband is required for entry or re-entry after 3 PM on Saturday.

     General Information

    • Dogs, firearms, and carry-ins are not allowed on the Main Grounds.
    • Dogs are not allowed on Crescent Beach (on the sand and in the water). Leashed dogs are permitted in all other public areas including the boardwalk on Crescent Beach during the festival, but please be mindful of the large crowds and the effect that the heat can have on your pooches. We wish everyone to be safe and have an enjoyable weekend.

    PRE-FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES

    FRIDAY, AUGUST 9, 2024

    • Fishing Contest continues.
    • 3 – 6 PM: Anticipated Packet Pick-up 5K Walk/Run & Kids Superhero Fun Run, Algoma Youth Club, 620 Lake St. Register here>>
    • 3 PM – Midnight: Main Grounds Open. Wristbands are required for 12 and older. $10 at the gate. Wristbands are good for the entire weekend.

    Music on the Main Stage:

    • 4 – 8 PM Suzie & The Detonators
    • 8  PM – Midnight That 90’s Band

    SATURDAY, AUGUST 10, 2024

      • Fishing Contest continues.
      • 8 AM: Shanty Days 5K Run/Walk
      • 9 AM Kids Superhero Fun Run.  Register here>>
      • 8 – 11:30 AM: Car Cruise registration and line-up. Olson Fabrication 1101 Perry St.
      • 10 AM: Battle on the Beach Volleyball Tournament, Crescent Beach
      • 10 AM – 5 PM: Arts N’ Crafts Fair and Street Vendor Fair Fremont St. between 2nd & 6th Sts.
      • 11 AM – 3 PM: No wristband required to enter the Main Grounds.  If you leave and come back after 3, a wristband is required.
      • 11:30 AM Car Cruise with Car Show , Parade route then Algoma Youth Club parking lot .  
      • 12 PM: Shanty Days Parade 
      • 4 and 6 PM:  Lions Club Bingo – sponsored by CTI on the Shanty Days Main Grounds. Limit 30 players  $10/ card  10 games/ last one Blackout with $100 prize for winner (can buy multiple cards) No need to bring markers – will be using slider cards. When Bingo is not being played, there will be multiple board/card games available under the tent.  Outside there will be cornhole, Jenga, and a couple of other outside games.

    Saturday Music on the Main Grounds

    Entertainment in The  Kids Area on the Main Grounds
    2 – 6 PM T.C. Hatter & Marcianne For 2 shows (show times TBA) and 1 hour of strolling entertainment.

    SUNDAY, AUGUST 11, 2024

    • 7 AM Ecumenical service at Heritage Park
    • 9:30 AM “Battle on the Beach” Juniors begins Co-Ed Beach Volleyball Tournament on Crescent Beach. Register here.
    • Fishing Contest concludes.
    • 10AM – 4PM Arts & Crafts and Street Fair
    • 1 and 3 PM:  Lions Club Bingo – sponsored by CTI on the Shanty Days Main Grounds. Limit 30 players  $10/ card  10 games/ last one Blackout with $100 prize for winner (can buy multiple cards) No need to bring markers – will be using slider cards. When Bingo is not being played, there will be multiple board/card games available under the tent.  Outside there will be cornhole, Jenga, and a couple of other outside games.
