  • Learn the ancient art of bronze casting, using the lost wax process and todays technologies and materials. Students will create their own original wax sculpture, make their own ceramic shell mold and actually pour the molten bronze into their mold. Open to all skill levels. All foundry tools and equipment will be furnished. The week long classes will culminate with the bronze pour taking place on Friday.

    Cost: $390 plus materials used (bronze, propane, electricity, mold materials, etc.) Bronze cost will be based on current market price.

    Make check payable to Bren Sibilsky Sculpture (A non-refundable deposit of $150 must be received by May 1, 2020, with the balance due on the last day of the class).

    Ken and Mary are world class sculptors and teachers, with numerous bronze commissions throughout the United States and years of teaching experience. Mary has a MAT from Tulane University and a MFA from Vermont College of Visual Arts and is retired from her position as the Director of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Art Department and Ken has a DDS in Dentistry from Loyola University.
