  • October 1, 2021 is the first Friday of the month and that means First Friday in Algoma WI!

    There will be art of all mediums, music, sales, refreshments, friendly conversation, and just a great time as you stroll the streets of  downtown Algoma, WI. Galleries and shops are scheduled to be open for the evening from 5 – 8PM unless otherwise stated.

    Participating Algoma Area Chamber Members Scheduled for October 1:

    • Bay Shore Outfitters, 219 State St.
      Extended hours.
    • Clay on Steele: 221 Steele St.
      Featuring a variety of pottery  from it’s co-op members Lou Jacobucci, Karen Newquist, Tom & Pam Zander, Tom Conard, Ileen Ross, Mark Kolinski and Ellen Levenhagen. Stop by to view the pottery, enjoy  a glass of wine and watch potters at work.
    • Ladybug Glass Studio & Gallery, 219 Steele St.
      October exhibition opening: Big Things in Far Away Places. How Astronomers See the Universe. Photographs and sketches of galaxies, nebulae, star clusters and the Moon produced by members of the Neville Public Museum Astronomical Society.
    • Robert Ray Gallery: 520 Parkway St.
      October exhibition opening: Featuring art in a variety of mediums including ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, jewelry, mobiles, photography, and mixed media.
    • Steele Street Trading Co & Gallery: 300 Steele St.
      October exhibition opening: Scenes Of Lake Michigan byBarb Zipperer. Watch the artist work on a colored pencil drawing during the reception.
