Algoma Visitor Center Installs New Restrooms

 In Chamber, Travel

Just in time for summer, the new restrooms at the Algoma Visitor Center are now open!

The two newly remodeled family restrooms are now one stall with a larger area to accommodate wheelchairs.  There is also a changing table in one of the rooms for families with young ones.

The restrooms will be open from sunup to sundown and this includes access to the new mini-slatwall inside for easy access to area attraction literature including the Friendly Algoma Visitor guide and more. So whether you are strolling the Cresent Beach Boardwalk or just passing through – stop in and say hello!

We would like to thank Ahnapee Construction, Baumann Plumbing & Heating, Wiesner Massart Flooring, CTI Hospitality (custom slat wall), Junio Electric, Ahnapee Ink (photos), and our Executive Director Sara Krouse (painting) for their contributions to the project.

The interior of the Algoma Visitor Center is now staffed for our summer hours ready to meet and greet visitors from near and far.  Summer hours are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
