St. Mary Rosary Society Will Now Host Algoma City-Wide Yard Sale

Update: We are pleased to announce that the St. Mary’s Rosary Society will be taking over responsibility for the Algoma City-wide Garage Sale.

Details for the event are as follows:
Dates: July 9 and 10, 2021.
Cost: $10 per home sale.

Food vendors desiring to be listed as part of the sale can register for $10.

Registration forms will be available upon request by emailing algomagaragesale@gmail.com. Paper copies will also be available at the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce offices located in the Algoma Visitor Center at 1226 Lake Street.

Questions regarding the sale can be answered by any Rosary Society member or by calling 920-255-2430.

May 5, 2021: The city-wide garage sale normally scheduled for mid-July was not held in 2020 due to the pandemic. This event was created by the now defunct Algoma Main Street organization. As a measure of community goodwill, the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce assumed responsibility for this event for the past several years.

The mission of the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce is “to promote business prosperity, tourism, and community involvement by providing information, services, and advocacy for the Algoma community and our members.”

Taking this mission statement into consideration and the cost, time, and effort required to execute this event, our board of directors has determined that it is not in the best interest of the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce to continue hosting this event.

It is the sincere hope of the Chamber that another organization in the area can pick up this event and carry on with it in the future.
